Hotels Harrogate

The Boar's Head

Ripley, Harrogate HG3 3AY, UK – 01423 771888

Lovely room. Excellent breakfast, in a room away from other guests who hadn't brought dogs. The room had a dog bed, dog bowl, and doggy treats. The staff were very welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Been here a few times now but this was our first stop for lunch. Sat at the back in the beer garden with the dog. Good choice of lovely food and good selection of beers. Very friendly staff too. Avoid the tables having yellow parasols though, they attract little flying insects by the hundred.

The New Inn

B6165, Burnt Yates, Harrogate HG3 3EG, UK – 01423 771070

Great room, great pub downstairs and great breakfast in the morning. The owners are great people and so are the regular punters. Plus, the location, in Nidderdale and on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, is perfect. Close to Harrogate but also the great Yorkshire landscapes.

We needed a hotel as close as possible to Ripley Castle so the location was perfect. The room was lovely; very spacious and clean. The best part of the visit to this hotel though was the hospitality by the amazing owners. They are a lovely, friendly couple who are very helpful and also made for great company in the evening at the bar. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Sophies coffee shop, Bistro and Bed & Breakfast

Lovely coffee shop, great atmosphere and yummy cakes! We will be back! :)

I called in with 14 cycling friends today we were seated and served in very quick time, excellent bacon and egg butties and huge pots of tea.

You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Harrogate Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Nelson Inn

Skipton Road, Killinghall, Harrogate HG3 2BU, UK – 01423 500340

Lovely place, been before with no issues. Today though we were waiting over an hour for food with no warning from the staff of the wait time. The place wasn't busy either, maybe 1/4 capacity at best. When the food finally arrived it was good, but we didn't get our starter and when we settled up our tab had been muddled with someone else's so we ended up being overcharged. Poor show really, I think the assistant manager who was serving us was more interested in chatting up a lass at the bar than taking orders as evidenced by us, the argument he had with one customer who was left waiting and stormed out, and another group who were waiting ages for their coffees. No complaints about the place, the food or the attitude of the staff, but yeah, service was lacking today.

Outstanding customer service today! Super friendly greeting from a young lady behind the bar. Positioned us perfectly in a dog friendly zone by an unlit fire and then proceeded to light the fire for us! We had arranged the unknown location as a simple halfway meeting point for lunch with friends and could not have been happier. Lovely place with ample nooks and crannies for either small or larger groups. Immaculate facilities and great menu and excellent food. Very spacious and easy access car park too - well worth making the effort if it’s a bit further out than you wanted it to be - no regrets, highly recommend! (Must try the Bourbon Pecan Pie - heavenly!!!)

Station Hotel

Station Rd, Birstwith, Harrogate HG3 3AG, UK – 01423 770254

Wonderful food and really helpful staff. It was our first visit but certainly won't be the last. Lovely beer garden with no smoking allowed. Dogs welcome but must be on short lead. Children welcome provided they are supervised.

Thank you for being so accommodating so late in the day. We all had a great nights sleep and the breakfast this morning was delicious. We will definitely be visiting in the future 😀

The Old Spring Well

Otley Rd, Harrogate HG3 2AP, UK – 01423 567035

The new menu is a good introduction. There is now a good range of food available all day for both light bites and bigger appetites. Also great to see that they have now introduced quite a large number of vegan and vegetarian dishes to the menu. This is 'my local' which I have visited quite a number of times since The Old Spring Well opened nearly 5 years ago and I think this is the best, most flexible menu they have had. Worth noting they also do small snacks, soft and hot drinks in addition to being a pub, so very handy as a cafe too; including weekend brunchs.

Excellent meal, was warned that there was a 30 minute wait but our food arrived in 15 mins. Have the rotisserie chicken, it's by far the best chicken I've had anywhere and the best meal on the menu.
