Queens Head Inn

Kettlesing Lane, Kettlesing, Harrogate HG3 2LB, UK – 01423 770263

This is my favourite pub in England. I feel welcomed every time I walk in the door. Fantastic food (and my friends all agree the best Steak & Ale pie to be found in Yorkshire). Also, I have not found a better Sticky Toffee Pudding anywhere in the world. Old Peculier on tap. Need I say more? Stop in if you can and tell Louise I sent you!

First time we visited. Lovely welcome. Great food and friendly staff. Added benefit of charging our EV. We will definitely be back.👍

The Nelson Inn

Skipton Road, Killinghall, Harrogate HG3 2BU, UK – 01423 500340

Lovely place, been before with no issues. Today though we were waiting over an hour for food with no warning from the staff of the wait time. The place wasn't busy either, maybe 1/4 capacity at best. When the food finally arrived it was good, but we didn't get our starter and when we settled up our tab had been muddled with someone else's so we ended up being overcharged. Poor show really, I think the assistant manager who was serving us was more interested in chatting up a lass at the bar than taking orders as evidenced by us, the argument he had with one customer who was left waiting and stormed out, and another group who were waiting ages for their coffees. No complaints about the place, the food or the attitude of the staff, but yeah, service was lacking today.

Outstanding customer service today! Super friendly greeting from a young lady behind the bar. Positioned us perfectly in a dog friendly zone by an unlit fire and then proceeded to light the fire for us! We had arranged the unknown location as a simple halfway meeting point for lunch with friends and could not have been happier. Lovely place with ample nooks and crannies for either small or larger groups. Immaculate facilities and great menu and excellent food. Very spacious and easy access car park too - well worth making the effort if it’s a bit further out than you wanted it to be - no regrets, highly recommend! (Must try the Bourbon Pecan Pie - heavenly!!!)

The Joiners Arms

High St, Hampsthwaite, Harrogate HG3 2EU, UK – 01423 771673

We ate in the pub. It was a very enjoyable experience. Very friendly young lady, we asked something different then was on the menu, that was absolutely no problem. She gave us good advice. Friendly, pleasant atmosphere. And the food was delicious. A pity that we don't live there (we were on holiday), otherwise we would certainly come back.

Excellent food, great service and lovely beer garden. The spicy chicken wings were especially good... Worth going just for them! 🙂
